When it comes to creating a product I am not afraid to think that any idea is bad, crazy, or far-fetched, because in reality, one day it could become possible. For starters, all it takes is a little work, imagination and a never give up attitude. This type of attitude along with three motivating quotes from movies, and trading cards inspired my two innovative ideas that I actually used for two UWRF classes. The two creative ideas that came close to a realistic setting in these two classes were Cool Hot Jeans and The Fire Shield Pro.
Is a new design for a style of jeans consisting of four practical dual functioning heating and cooling systems located in the inseams of the jeans thighs and calf’s. The whole idea behind these jeans was to heat up or cool down a person’s legs with just a rechargeable nine-volt battery. This invention is meant for the guy that works outside like my dad use to when he built houses.
The Fire Shield Pro’s actual originality came from my dad and myself while sitting around a bonfire at our house. Being next to our shed in our backyard we noticed an old metal snow saucer, which sparked this whole idea. So in my actual class, this invention entails a metal circular shield attached to a metal pole. The shield mounted on the pole will act as a heat reflector that will radiate your fire pits heat in all directions, so as to keep everyone warmer.
So, my theory is that brainstorming encourages a person to think outside the box and bounce ideas off of their family, friends, and coworkers. In real life, this is so relatable to my dad and myself because we are always telling each other ideas or as what we like to call them “million-dollar ideas”.
