Marketing Journey
In my mind, my brain has always been geared towards marketing a product. I guess that’s why over my lifetime I have been fascinated with how commercials work and the big results companies get from the way they package and display their products. Of course, what peaks my interest the most is how both of them have that certain way as to how they appeal to their audience. These kinds of things are the exact reason behind my theory as to why I chose to enter the business and marketing career path at the University of Wisconsin River Falls.
I am currently in my fourth year of attending the University of Wisconsin River Falls and I’m a senior. My main focus from the beginning of my freshman year has been to major in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Marketing. What an intriguing major to go into, of course what I was looking forward to the most, was my sophomore year when I got to explore the business and marketing sides of why I attended UWRF in the first place. My excitement grew while taking my first marketing class The Principles of Marketing where I learned the true ropes of marketing. Then, on the other hand, when it came to the cool and appeal factor I extremely enjoyed my Internet and Direct Marketing class.
One thing I know for sure with my schooling is that I take pride in the things I do. Throughout my years at UWRF I thrive at pushing myself to succeed. With this push of motivation, during my last semester as a senior I am doing an internship at my current job The Home Depot in Hudson, Wisconsin. Here, I hope to put my marketing and business skills that I have acquired so far to real use, while at the same time gaining more knowledge. Besides gaining all this remarkable knowledge I feel that I have truly formed a connection and bond with fellow classmates and coworkers in the business and marketing field.
